A leading cement manufacturing company in the Philippines continues to strengthen its production capabilities with the construction of a new plant in South Luzon. Having successfully implemented Fuji Electric automation technologies in its existing facility, the company once again selected Fuji Electric to provide the PLC and SCADA system for the new terminal.
The Project has completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT), with feedback reflecting the client’s experience during the critical validation phase.
The primary goal of implementing a PLC and SCADA system was to deploy a control solution capable of supporting the operational requirements of a smaller plant while maintaining cost efficiency.
Compared with more complex Distributed Control Systems (DCS), the PLC-based approach offered sufficient capability for the terminal’s needs while providing a more economical option without compromising performance.
The client’s decision was driven by familiarity and proven reliability. Their previous experience with Fuji Electric PLCs built confidence in the technology, while the engineering capabilities of Fuji Electric’s Control and Automation team met the project’s technical requirements.
This combination of trusted equipment and skilled engineering support helped streamline the decision-making process.
During the Factory Acceptance Test, the system performed almost exactly as expected, confirming that the design aligned closely with the project requirements. This milestone reinforced the reliability of the solution ahead of installation and commissioning.
