Fuji Electric Sales Philippines Inc. (FESP) recently welcomed Mr. Yoshiyasu Ishikawa as its new President. He is a leader with nearly thirty years of experience, a sharp eye for opportunity, and a deep respect for people, relationships, and purpose. As he steps into this role, Mr. Ishikawa brings his technical expertise and a unique approach to leadership grounded in service and forward thinking.

From Sales Expert to President

Mr. Yoshiyasu Ishikawa’s career with Fuji Electric spans more than 26 years. Over the years, he has held various roles across the organisation, with his most recent position as Sales Chief Expert. In that role, he focused on working with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contractors—companies that develop industrial and energy facilities in sectors like oil and gas, renewables, and manufacturing.

His mission was clear: help these clients build better plants using Fuji Electric’s high-performance products and solutions. Along the way, Mr. Ishikawa built strong, lasting relationships by genuinely listening to customers’ needs and offering practical, reliable support.

What Drives His Leadership

Ask Mr. Ishikawa about his leadership style, and you’ll hear six simple but powerful words: listen, educate, assist, discuss, evaluate, and take responsibility. These values guide how he approaches decision-making, team development, and customer relationships.

“I believe in leadership that puts people first—our employees, clients, and partners,” he said. “When we listen and work together, we can achieve more than just business results. We can create real impact.”

Now, as President, he sees his role as a guide and a motivator. He wants to push boundaries, take on new challenges, and help the FESP team grow alongside the company’s expansion goals.

A Vision Rooted in Growth and Purpose

Mr. Ishikawa believes that growth is not only about numbers—it’s about service and contribution. His vision for FESP includes reaching more sectors across the Philippines while contributing to the country’s long-term sustainable development.

“The key to our future is how well we can serve different industries across the country,” he explained. “And we must always ask ourselves: what does the customer need? What can we do to bring the most value?”

He also embraces what he calls an “insatiable challenge mindset.” For him, it’s essential to keep exploring new markets, learning from customers, and taking bold steps toward innovation. This approach helps keep the company sharp, adaptable, and aligned with changing industry needs.

Embracing Sustainability and Responsibility

Mr. Ishikawa has a deep appreciation for Fuji Electric’s role in today’s energy and industrial landscape. He sees the Philippines as a country in transition—growing quickly, modernising its infrastructure, and increasingly focused on sustainability.

“More plants are being built to meet demand, but we also need to explore cleaner, more efficient ways to support growth,” he said. “FESP is ready to help with that transition.”

Through advanced power electronics, energy management systems, and environmentally conscious products, FESP supports businesses in their shift toward cleaner and brighter operations. Mr. Yoshiyasu Ishikawa sees this as a business opportunity and a social responsibility.

Putting Customers at the Center

A strong commitment to customers is at the heart of Mr. Ishikawa’s leadership. He believes that everything FESP delivers—every product, service, or conversation—is a chance to connect, add value, and build trust.

“Our offerings are more than solutions. They are how we express our message to the market,” he said. “When we deliver with care and quality, we create lasting relationships.”

He also believes in strengthening partnerships through shared success. One of the best parts of his job is working with clients and helping them reach their goals.

What Inspires Him

Though Mr. Ishikawa brings years of experience and a global perspective to his position, the people he meets in the Philippines continue to inspire him the most.

“It’s always a pleasure to meet so many warm-hearted, kind, and hardworking Filipinos,” he shared. “That excites me most about this role—getting to know more people and working together to build something meaningful.”

As someone who thrives on collaboration and connection, Mr. Ishikawa finds joy in building bridges between cultures, teams, and businesses and their communities.

A Message for the FESP Community

As he begins this new chapter, Mr. Ishikawa wants to reassure employees, clients, and partners that his focus remains on service, accountability, and shared growth.

“FESP will never shy away from its responsibilities,” he said. “We will be with you—supporting you, growing with you, and working toward a future we can all be proud of.”
